| INTRODUCTION
TO OPEN-HOLE LOG ANALYSIS - 5 Days
An elementary course in analysis of the basic well logs. This is a slightly simplified version of the Basic Well Log Interpretation course which Mr. Nutt has successfully taught for many years. Although some experience with reading logs is an advantage, this course is ideal for anyone who has no prior knowledge or experience, especially newcomers to the oil industry. The course is designed to take the beginner from first reading of logs to understanding how to recognize porous and permeable formations, recognize hydrocarbon-bearing intervals, identify the common matrix constituents, estimate porosity and water saturation, and have confidence in choice of petrophysical parameters. At the end of the course, participants should be able to make an interpretation of simple, clean reservoirs. Course Details

INTRODUCTION
TO CASED-HOLE LOG ANALYSIS - 5 Days
|
| PRACTICAL PETROPHYSICS - 5 Days
Designed as a sequel to Log Analysis Made Easy, this course introduces more sophisticated tools and techniques FMS (EMI), Multiple Formation Testers, Shear Sonic, NMR, Permeability from logs and charts, Computerized Evaluation, highly deviated and horizontal wells, evaluation of shaley sands, etc. Course Details |
| LOG ANALYSIS IN CARBONATES - 5 Days
This course is intended to make participants aware of the particular problems encountered in carbonate reservoirs diagenetic processes and results (karsts, caves, solution channels, vugs, oomoulds) and the appropriate petrophysical parameters and techniques needed to evaluate them. Course Details |

INTEGRATING LOG, CORE & TEST DATA (A WORKSHOP) - 5 Days A comprehensive workshop in integration of petrophysical and test data, in which participants work through a series of exercises employing all the available information to build a picture of the reservoir. An advanced manual of Petrophysics is a very valuable addendum. Registrants should have experience with interpretation of open-hole logs. Course Details
|
| RESERVOIR MONITORING & PRODUCTION LOG INTERPRETATION - 5 Days
This course covers all aspects of cased-hole survey evaluation, including data collection, reservoir monitoring and production log interpretation. This is an essential course for serious petrophysicists, production engineers, reservoir engineers, and anyone engaged in reservoir characterisation or modeling. Course Details

| LOGS FOR DRILLING ENGINEERS - 3 Days
This is a short (3-day) course designed specifically for drilling engineers. It allows them to recognize the different rock types and to distinguish gas and oil from water-bearing reservoirs from open-hole logs. One full day is devoted to understanding and interpreting cement bond surveys. Course Details |
| LOGS FOR PRODUCTION ENGINEERS - 3 Days
This is a short (3-day) course in which one full day is devoted to cement bond evaluation, and the remaining two days are used to analyze cased-hole production logs, how they work, and how to integrate the information they give to understand how the well and reservoir are behaving. Course Details |
| CEMENT BOND EVALUATION - 1 Day
This is a one-day course in cement bond evaluation, which covers cement bond logging, cement evaluation (pulse-echo) tools, and ultra-sonic bond indication. Course Details To learn more about each course, exactly what it contains and what you will learn click on the course title. |
